I'll dominate 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly happening.
